Four players are needed to play but you can also use AIs in case of fewer players. At the start of each turn, a player must roll a dice; the number appearing at the top represents the number of moves the player can make.
The gameplay is focused on the collection of stars and coins. Further, starts can also be purchased from Toadette with twenty coins. The character with the highest number of stars at the end is deemed the winner.
