The Waldrop Sextuplets came into this world on December 11, 2017. They were conceived through C-section 30 weeks into pregnancy.
During the birth, several medical experts were present in the delivery room such as neonatologists, surgical assistants, anesthesiologists, and maternal-fetal medicine specialists, reports The List. There was a total of 40 people team during the time of delivery.
At the time of birth, the kids' weights ranged from 2 lbs. and 4 oz. to 2 lbs. and 14 oz.
The birth of the six young ones was showcased in the reality show. Courtney the mother of the little ones had to stay in the hospital on strict bed rest until Week 30. She had been private about the stories of her pregnancy for several years before sharing it with the world on June 2022.
Courtney opened up about the day when she and her husband found out that they were pregnant with six kids and the day when the doctor told her that the chances of her surviving the pregnancy were slim due to a blood clotting disorder.
The Waldrop couple was also made aware that their six children may not live or most likely have severe disabilities. The heartbroken parents were at the abortion clinic ready to take a big and heartbreaking step in their lives.
The pair could see fear and sadness in each other's eyes as Courtney's name was called for the appointment. The mother of the sextuplets thanked god for intervening for changing their hearts and calming their fears.
Nine months later, they became happy parents of six healthy and adorable kids. The video of the babies' arrival in their homes for the first time has been showcased in the reality show.

In the video, they revealed that the filming of the show stopped in July 2020. The pair further explained how TLC first approached them about doing the show when Courtney was still pregnant with their six kids.
