Dragons Appearing In Game of Thrones
Daenerys Targaryen dragons names in alphabetical order are Drogon, Rhaegal, and Viserion. All three dragons were hatched at the end of the first season.
Daenerys receives the three dragons as unhatched eggs during her wedding to the Dothraki warlord Khal Drogo. A merchant prince named Illyrio Mopatis presents her with the three eggs as a gift for her wedding.
After Khal Drogo dies at the end of the first season, she builds a large funeral pyre. She burns the dead body of Drogo and Mirri Maz Duur, a slave who betrayed her.
Daenerys also places the three eggs at the top of the funeral pyre and enters the burning fire herself. Ser Jorah Mormont and the other members of the Dothraki tribe expect to see Daenerys completely burned by the fire.

Drogon is one of the three dragons of Daenerys Targaryen. He was named after Daenerys' husband Khal Drogo.
